Personality & Traits
Personality tests are the backbone of this library. This category holds the frameworks researchers and curious people have returned to for decades: the Big Five, which measures five continuous traits, and the four temperaments, the classical model that sorts style into sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic. Both are here in full — the Big Five using the public-domain IPIP item pool, the temperament test using original questions written for this site. Alongside them sit two type systems of our own making: a four-dimension personality types test with sixteen original types, and an enneagram test whose nine types carry original TestLark names and descriptions.
The two tests answer different questions. Take the Big Five when you want a profile — a set of scores you can compare, track and think with. Take the temperament test when you want a portrait — one named style, with a blend, that explains your defaults in groups, deadlines and arguments. Most people end up taking both, and the pair together say more than either does alone.
