Privacy
Privacy policy
The short version: when you take a test on TestLark, your answers are scored entirely inside your browser. They are never sent to our servers, never stored in a database, never tied to an account (there are no accounts) and never sold or shared. If you close the tab, your answers cease to exist anywhere.
What we do collect
Like most websites, we use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand which tests are taken, which pages are read and roughly where in the world visitors come from. Analytics events on this site are limited to things like “a test was started”, “a test was completed” and “a result was shared” — the events record the test’s name and, on completion, the result category. They never include your individual answers, your scores per question, or anything you typed, because there is nothing for you to type.
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations, as essentially every website does.
Cookies and advertising
TestLark is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Advertising cookies may be used by Google and its partners to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have consented to them. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings and cookie choices through the consent controls shown on the site where required. Analytics cookies are used only as described above.
Progress on your device
If you refresh a test halfway through, the test restores your progress from your browser’s session storage — on your device only. That storage is cleared when the test is completed or the tab closes, and it is never transmitted.
Children
TestLark is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children; per the design above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially — for example if a future feature ever required accounts — we will update this page and the change will be visible here before it takes effect. Questions about privacy: support@testlark.com.
